The father came from Sokołów Podlaski, and the mother – from Góra Kalwaria, but she received education at a school for girls in Warsaw. They spoke Polish and Yiddish at home. Aharon’s parents got married in the ghetto in Sokołów, and after the Second World War broke out, they found themselves in the Warsaw Ghetto."
