I lived and taught English in a high school in Poland from 1991-93 with the Peace Corps. People were very reluctant to speak about the Jewish history and most I what I learned was from Russian/English teacher who had been born in St. Petersburg and married a Pole and relocated to Siedlce. I started learning even more when another Peace Corps volunteer who was Jewish was placed there my second year.
